Terms and Conditions

A LEGAL DISCLAIMER

1. General Information

These Terms and Conditions apply to all treatments and services provided by JoVoBeaux. By booking an appointment, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.

 

2. Consultations

A face-to-face consultation will be carried out prior to any treatment with a Nurse Prescriber. This is in line with Best Practice. 

You must provide accurate and complete medical history and information.

We reserve the right to refuse treatment if deemed unsuitable or unsafe.

Treatment outcomes vary between individuals; results are not guaranteed.


 

3. Consent

You will be required to sign an informed consent form before any treatment.

You must be over 18 years of age (ID may be requested).

You may withdraw consent at any time prior to treatment.


 

4. Appointments & Deposits

A deposit of £50 may be required to secure your booking.

Appointments are only confirmed once a deposit is received.

Please arrive on time; late arrivals may result in reduced treatment time or cancellation.


 

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred if notice is given within the required time.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in loss of deposit.

No-shows may be charged the full cost of the treatment.

 

Refunds:

No refunds will be given for treatments already carried out.

Dissatisfaction with results is not grounds for a refund, as outcomes vary.


 

6. Treatment Results & Aftercare

Individual results vary depending on skin type, lifestyle, and other factors.

You must follow all aftercare advice provided.

Failure to follow aftercare instructions may affect results and increase risk of complications.


 

7. Risks & Complications

All aesthetic procedures involve some level of risk.

Possible side effects include swelling, bruising, redness, infection, or allergic reaction.

By proceeding, you acknowledge understanding these risks.


 

8. Payments

Payment is due in full on the day of treatment unless otherwise agreed.

We accept: Cash / Card / Bank Transfer.


 

9. Medical Conditions

You must inform us of any medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, or allergies.

The clinic cannot be held responsible for complications arising from undisclosed information.

 

10. Liability

We will provide services with reasonable care and skill.

We are not liable for:

Results outside our control

Allergic reactions where no prior warning was given

Failure to follow aftercare instructions

11. Personal Data & Confidentiality (GDPR)

Your personal information will be kept secure and confidential.

We comply with UK GDPR and data protection laws.

Information may be used for medical records, communication, and legal obligations only.


 

12. Photography

With your consent, before and after photos may be taken for medical records.

Images will not be used for marketing without your explicit written consent.


 

13. Complaints

If you are unhappy with your treatment, please contact us within 14 days.

We will aim to resolve all complaints professionally and promptly.


 

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Updated terms will be available upon request or on our website.


 

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

 

TERMS and CONDITIONS for c-section scar therapy.

1. Scope of Treatment

Scar massage therapy is a manual treatment designed to improve scar mobility, reduce tightness, and support healing. It is not a substitute for medical or surgical care.

 

2. Assessment & Suitability

A face-to-face full assessment will be conducted prior to treatment.

You must provide accurate medical history, including surgery details, wound healing issues, and current medications.

Treatment will only be carried out if the scar is clinically appropriate and if you are 6 weeks post-partum (e.g., fully healed unless otherwise advised).

We reserve the right to decline treatment if it is unsafe or contraindicated.

 

3. Consent

Informed consent must be provided before treatment begins.

You confirm that you understand the purpose, benefits, and potential risks.

You may withdraw consent at any time.


 

4. Appointments

Appointments must be booked in advance.

Please arrive on time; late arrival may reduce session time.

A deposit of £50 may be required to secure your booking.


 

5. Cancellation Policy

At least 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or changes.

Deposits are non-refundable, but may be transferred with adequate notice.

Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in a full session charge.

No guarantees can be made regarding outcomes.

8. Aftercare Responsibilities

You will be provided with aftercare advice and possibly home massage techniques.

It is your responsibility to follow all aftercare guidance.

Failure to do so may affect treatment outcomes.

 

9. Risks & Contraindications

While scar massage is generally safe, possible effects include:

 

Temporary redness or sensitivity

Mild discomfort during treatment

Irritation if performed on unsuitable or unhealed tissue

 

Treatment will not be performed if:

The wound is not fully healed (unless clinically appropriate)

There is infection, inflammation, or skin breakdown

There are medical conditions that contraindicate treatment


 

10. Medical Responsibility

You must disclose all relevant health information.

The practitioner is not responsible for complications arising from withheld information.

You should seek advice from your GP or consultant if unsure about suitability.


 

11. Liability

All treatments are performed with appropriate care and professional standards.

We are not liable for:

 

Outcomes outside our control

Lack of adherence to aftercare advice

Undisclosed medical conditions


12. Confidentiality & Data Protection

All patient information is confidential and stored securely.

We comply with UK GDPR and data protection regulations.

13. Photography

Photos may be taken for clinical monitoring with your consent.

Images will not be shared without written permission.
